Board Service Expectations & Structure

Board Members of The B.E. Resilient Foundation are expected to support the mission, values, and long-term sustainability of the organization through active participation, thoughtful governance, and community engagement. Board service includes attending meetings, contributing professional insight and guidance, supporting fundraising and outreach efforts, helping strengthen community partnerships, and ensuring the Foundation operates with transparency, accountability, and compassion in service to individuals facing cancer and hardship.

Core Board Responsibilities

As a board member, I am committed to promoting community assistance initiatives that allow us to support cancer patients effectively. We encourage everyone to donate to ensure they receive the help they need during challenging times.

Meeting Cadence & Time Commitment

Board Members are expected to attend regular board meetings, remain engaged with the mission of the Foundation, and contribute their time, perspective, and professional experience in support of organizational growth and community impact. Time commitments may also include participation in fundraising efforts, community outreach, partnership development, and occasional Foundation events or initiatives supporting individuals facing cancer and hardship.

Board Terms

• Initial board terms are two (2) years, allowing us to focus on community assistance initiatives.

• Terms may be renewed upon mutual agreement, ensuring ongoing support for cancer patients.

• Staggered terms may be implemented to support continuity, which is crucial as we strive to encourage others to donate to cancer patients.

Founder-Led Governance Model

The Founder & Executive Director is responsible for daily operations, program development, and organizational leadership, focusing on community assistance initiatives. The Board’s role is to advise, support, and provide accountability — not to manage staff or operations, but to help ensure that we can effectively support cancer patients and encourage those who wish to donate to cancer patients.

Board Culture & Values

We value grounded leadership, compassion, humility, and follow-through. Board service with The B.E. Resilient Foundation requires emotional intelligence, respect for lived experience, and a commitment to ethical, mission-aligned governance that emphasizes community assistance. By participating, board members play a crucial role in initiatives that support cancer patients and help those in need. This document is provided to ensure clarity, alignment, and shared understanding for all potential board members who wish to contribute and donate to cancer patients.
